Work Health and Safety

Here at Gray's Public Library, health and safety is one of our greatest concerns. We want to ensure that all visitors and staff members remain safe and healthy at all time. The following outlines the major work health and safety areas to focus on while using multimedia in the library: Electrical and Fire Safety: Our equipment is routinely tested and inspected We ask you to please turn off any powerpoint/outlets when not in use We also ask you to keep all cables and wires away from walk-ways Manual Handling: Steps are always available for use for all visitors when needing something off higher shelves If you are ever unsure about using the steps, feel free to go speak to a librarian and they will assist you with this Trolleys are available for all visitors to reduce the amount of weight you may be carrying These trolleys are also routinely tested and inspected We try to keep our library as open as possible, to reduce any awkward postur...
